As State Representative Margo McDermed (R-Mokena) enters her final year in office, she is continuing her stellar record of providing services and informational events to her constituents with her first senior driving seminar of the year in March. A second senior driving seminar is planned for October.
As with past seminars, the class is intended for older drivers looking to refresh their memory of the written driving test, a necessary step to renewing your license once you reach a certain age.
“These classes are far and away one of my most popular events, largely because the rules of the road have been updated and my residents know that staying informed is necessary to be able to continue to drive,” Rep. McDermed said.
The class will be on Tuesday, March 10th at 10am. It will take place at the Frankfort Public Library, 21119 S. Pfieffer Road in Frankfort. The two-hour seminar will be taught by an instructor from the Secretary of State’s Office. The seminar will cover an overview of the contents of the Rules of the Road booklet and include a sample test.
The event is free, but residents are encouraged to RSVP to ensure enough materials are available. For any questions, call Rep. McDermed’s office at (815) 277-2079.
